Longtime Tulsa dentist to be honored with WBU Distinguished Alumni Award

PLAINVIEW – Dr. Glenda Payas, retired dentist from Tulsa, Okla., will probably be acknowledged as certainly one of Wayland Baptist College’s 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award winners throughout a Feb. 18 banquet held as a part of the WBU Homecoming celebration in Plainview.

A local of Albuquerque, Dr. Payas earned her undergraduate diploma at Wayland in biology and schooling in 1969. She then continued her schooling at New Mexico Highlands College, incomes grasp’s levels within the pure sciences and in steering and counseling.

Payas earned her Physician of Dental Drugs diploma from Oral Roberts College in Tulsa after which served with the U.S. Public Well being Corps with the Indian Well being Service on the Claremore Indian Hospital. She retired in 2017 after 28 years in non-public apply in Tulsa. She and husband Brad handle rental property in Tulsa and have loved touring throughout retirement.
